BUS 520 Corporate Finance:

In addition to a textbook, this course uses cases and readings to develop fundamental understanding of the principles, analytical tools, and knowledge needed to make good investment and financing decisions.  The course introduces students to finance ratios, forecasting methods, capital structure theory, and risk-return analysis and then asks them to apply these concepts from a managerial decision-making perspective.  Subjects covered include: asset managment; cash management; capital structure; cost of capital; dividend theory; investments; risk management; real options; financial strategy formulation; and valuation.
